Without our amazing volunteers, Better Things couldn’t do what it does.
If you’d like to do some fundraising, can spare a few hours occasionally, or even better, can make a regular commitment on a weekly basis, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re always looking for more people to help with:
Hands-on help with running our activities
Support participants to take part in one of our sports sessions
Help to keep the community garden area looking great and bringing wildlife to the area
Fundraising
Take on a sponsored walking, running, cycling, swimming, or skydiving challenge in aid of Better Things
Host a Better Things coffee & cake sale
Tell your colleagues about our ‘get your kit on’ fundraising day in February and get them involved
Giving time in other ways
Support our forum groups – share ideas and skills with our ‘Keeping connected’ forum group
Join our trustees
Raise the profile of Better Things
Help us to reduce disability hate crime and health inequalities. Follow us and like, comment & share our social media posts
All of our activities are supervised by a Better Things employee (all are DBS-checked) and we have a number of safeguards in place to protect our service-users.
“There’s such a great happy buzz at all the Better Things activities. I enjoy helping out and always leave with a smile on my face”.
Emma, volunteer
“The hard work that goes into, and the ethos that drives Better Things provides tangible and measurable improvements for the people of Greater Manchester. I will always support this charity however I can.”
