There are lots of ways to help Better Things and the people we work with:

  • Donate - learn more

  • Volunteer/Fundraise - learn more

  • Offer employment or work experience – People with learning disabilities tend to be very hardworking and reliable. We can work with you match the right person to the right job or opportunity

  • Join in with Get your kit on, our annual fundraising day on the first Friday in February every year, and donate £5 to wear your favourite sports shirt to work/school.  You can team this up with a competition amongst colleagues/friends for things like oldest kit, ugliest kit, most unusual, club/team furthest away, to make it more exciting.

  • Sign up to easyfundraising (https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/) and choose Better Things as your chosen charity. Every time you buy something online from a retailer that supports the scheme, we’ll get a donation

  • Spread the word – Share our social media posts (see bottom of page) so that other people can learn about the work we do

  • Nominate us - Ask if we could become a nominated charity at your workplace or organise a one-off fundraising activity

If you’re a business that’s interested in supporting our work, check out the corporate section on our donate page.

We keep our running costs as low as possible so that every penny donated to us is spent directly on helping young people and adults with learning disabilities.

We’re aware that there are lots more people we could help, but we need more money and volunteers to be able to help them.
